

Carrie Jo “Pippa” Franklin was born July, 1942 in Pueblo, Colorado to the late James J. Wallace Sr. and Marian Virginia Wallace. She departed from this life on January 28, 2011. Carrie was a long time resident of Colorado Springs, Colorado. She graduated from Pueblo Central High School in 1960 and attended Pueblo Junior College for additional studies. While in Colorado Springs she was employed for 16 years by Memorial Health Systems. Carrie was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She was also a loyal and trusting friend to many. She loved to listen to music, read, watch movies, game shows, and standup comedy. Carrie also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Her incredible sense of humor and infectious laugh will be greatly missed. She is survived by her mother, Marian Virginia Wallace; daughters, Shelley Yvette Franklin of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Shannon (DeVon) English of Lewisville, Texas; sister, Betty Jo Wallace, brother’s, James (Sue) Wallace and Rodney (Coralie) Wallace, both of Centennial, Colorado; grandchildren, DeVon English Jr., Devion English; nephews, Steven Kidd, Brandon Williams, and niece, Stephanie Levay. She leaves a host of relatives and friends. Carrie is preceded in death by her father, James J. Wallace Sr.; paternal and maternal grandparents and nephew Ian James Wallace.
