Catherine Viola Marrs-Yeo rose to be with the angels June 27, 2018. She was born May 19, 1929. She was 89 years old. Catherine was born in Canon City, Colo., to the loving union of Charles Marrs and Eleanor Byer-Marrs. Catherine spent her childhood in Canon City, Rosita, Westcliffe, Coaldale and for a short while in Missouri. Catherine was retired from Parkview Hospital after 20-plus years of service in dietary. Catherine had a love for cooking, baking, sewing, gardening, fixing things and of all animals. Catherine was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Eleanor Marrs; step-father, Charles Albert Williams; sister, Clara Marrs-Mellon; and brother, Charles Marrs; grandchildren, Charles, Michael, Shauna; great-grandson, Corey. Catherine is survived by her daughter, Sharon Campbell, Sandra (Ed) Haberman and Pamela Yeo; grandchildren, Cathy, Christina, David, Clifford, Laura and Sharelle; eight great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren; brother, Claude (Wilma) Marrs; and sister-in-law, Kathy Marrs. The family requests in lieu of food or flowers, donations be made to Sangre de Cristo Hospice. The family will have a celebration of her life in Canon City in the upcoming months
