Chuck was born in Pueblo, CO one of four sons to Jim and Teresa Hunyadi. He was a proud Puebloan who graduated from South High School before entering a 44-year Railroad career with the Denver & Rio Grande and Union Pacific Railroads. He is pre-deceased by his loving wife of 30 years, Rebecca Ann Hunyadi. He is also pre-deceased by his second wife, Tina.
Chuck is survived by his two children, John Edward Hunyadi (Nicole Hunyadi) and Jennifer Lynn Harbert (Kris Harbert). He was the proud grandfather of Jake, Tate, Levi, and Emery Jo Harbert and Annika and Gage Hunyadi.
Chuck knew nothing in his life other than hard work, a high level of energy, and a never quit attitude applied to every aspect of his life. His commitment to his family, his friends, and his career was remarkable and has shaped the lives of generations that he cared for.
As a father and son, Chuck was selfless, caring, and always there to support our needs. His ornery sense of humor, his fiery temper, and his strong moral compass has been there to guide us through the trials of our lives and will continue to do so in his memory. We will miss him and always treasure him.
A celebration of life for Charles will be held Friday, November 15, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Pueblo Christian Center, 1605 South Pueblo Boulevard, Pueblo, Colorado 81005.
