

Charles Robert Thurston, 80, passed away January 29, 2015 in Pueblo, Colorado. Charles was preceded in death by his daughter, Judy Hamilton; his parents, George and Lily June Thurston; four brothers: Richard, Ray, Clarence and Frank Thurston; and two sisters: Wilma Kaparos and Marie Chanick. He is survived by a large family, including his loving wife, Marilyn; three sons: Bob (Debbie), Randy, Ron (Kim); grandchildren, Brenda Wallerstedt, Brian Thurston, Jarod Neelan, Karen Roush, Krista Brewer, Nikki Thurston, Leslie Thurston, Mathew Hamilton, Cody Hamilton and Seth Hamilton; and 8 great-grandchildren. We also wish to acknowledge the huge number of friends they have had over these years, from those they have known from childhood, to the wonderful new friends they have developed with caregivers during his recent illness at Lifecare and at the hospital. Charles was employed for 30 years at CF&I Steel. He and Marilyn shared a long life of adventures and fun, as well as pulling together to overcome challenges and illness. He loved life and his family. From early family vacations around the country, fishing and camping or even their fun trips to Las Vegas, they had a wonderful full and eventful life.
