Cheryl graduated from South High School and continued her education at Southern Colorado State College. Her studies included work involving developmental and intellectual children, reflecting a steady commitment to understanding and supporting young lives.
She worked for a daycare, a role that suited the care and attentiveness she brought to the world around her.
In her quieter hours, Cheryl found joy in simple, beautiful things—painting ceramic figurines, tending to her garden, and caring for her house plants.
Above all else, Cheryl loved her family first and foremost. Protecting her children was her main focus in life, and her care extended naturally to all children, whether her own or others. She brought lightness and laughter with her. Her grandkids could always make her do silly things.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents, George Wilbur Gregg and Patricia Aleen Gregg.
She is survived by her daughter, Nicole Aleen Colby; sons, David Dean Relaford, Gregg Louis Relaford, and Patrick Sheridan Harper; 3 sisters, Connie, Cathie and Candace; as well as 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Celebration of life will be at 11 AM, November 12, 2026 at Imperial Funeral Home.
