Ciria A Salazar

Sadie became a Certified Nurse aide, a calling that reflected her compassion. She worked as a Nurses Aid and Home Health-care Provider for many years. Sadie found joy in being involved with her church. She loved cooking and crocheting, and she was especially remembered for the way she welcomed others into her home. Kind and generous, she made people feel at ease and ensured that anyone who visited was fed and cared for. No one left Sadie’s house hungry. Her home stayed open to family and friends, and many family members spent meaningful time there, surrounded by her care and the familiar comfort of a home-cooked meal.

Sadie began life as a twin; her twin, Stephanie, lived for only one week. Ciria's was first married to Buddy; they were married only one month when he passed away. She was later introduced to Joe's father by her brother, and she and David Salazar were married for 50 years. Sadie's daughter, Sharon Ferguson, passed away in a tragic accident in May of 1995. Her husband, David Salazar passed away in February of 2006. She was later introduced to Colby Miller by the pastor of the church, and she married Colby in 2007 by the church. Her son, Mark A. Salazar, passed away in October of 2020 and Colby passed away in January 2022.

Sadie is survived by her son, Joseph L. Salazar; her stepson, David V. Gonzales; her grandchildren, Luke Salazar, Jay Salazar (Van Hoang), Natalie Salazar, Bridget Gonzales, Lynn Gonzales, Hope Ferguson (T.J. Barajas); and her great-grandchildren, Aiden Salazar, Jason, Damien and Brayden Wooley, Cici, (Ciria Barajas), Serenity Barajas, and Brilynn McDaniel.

A Funeral Service will be held at Pueblo First Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 3910 O'Neal Ave, Pueblo, Colorado 81005, on September 5, 2026, at 2:00 pm.
