Constance (Connie) Louise Mayernick, age 69, passed away peacefully with family at her side the evening of July 28, 2021 of acute myeloid leukemia (AML). She was born November 15, 1951 in Pueblo to Robert and Margaret Mayernick. She is survived by her mother Margaret, her sister Lori Waters (John) of Kingman, AZ, her son, Jonathon Jacobs and her granddaughters Chantilli and Kamryn of Pueblo. She graduated from South High school, class of 1970. She was married to Gary Jacobs (D) for about 20 years. Jonathon married Jaime and soon Connie became a grandma, the girls were the light of her life. She had a long-time relationship and loved Shannon Marshall (D) they lived in Montrose, CO for many years before moving back to Pueblo.
She attended CSU-Pueblo and graduated from the Radiology Course, she excelled and started in the Nuclear Medicine area with positions at Parkview Hospital and Montrose Memorial Hospital.
She loved riding her motorcycle, with the wind in her face, friends and family loved riding with her. She was a member of Ladies In the Wind motorcycle group while in Montrose. She loved big old trees, home made Kahlua, green chili, hers was the best, and any crafty things. In recent years she joined Busy Brushes China Painting Club with her mom, where her imagination and talent with color excelled. She was awarded many ribbons and Best of show at the State Fair.
Above all she loved her family, her family were those she grew up with at home, her relatives and the people she met who she allowed into her heart. She would be your mom, your sister, or your friend forever if that’s what you needed. She adored her granddaughters and always wanted the best for them, and did anything she could to help them succeed.
She poured her heart into everyone she loved and everything she created. Her wonderful relationships. The fun times. Her laugh. She gave us all a glimpse into her carefree, loving heart which we will miss forever. Connie, may the cool wind be a comfort on your face and the warm sun be forever at your back…
