I don't know what happened, but Dahl's name just popped into my head this morning. I came to work at Upland PD as a dispatcher a little after Dahl came in. He was one of the nicest people I'd ever met, just a stand-up guy all around. So sad to hear of his passing. I'm glad he got out of law enforcement, it's a nasty job. He told me he was moving to Colorado and was going to live in a house on a butte. Don't know if he ever did, but I really envied his moving out to such a beautiful state. Looks like he lived his dream and I'm happy to have known him. RIP, Dahl!

Susie - we are so sorry to have heard about Dahl. Way too soon. He was loved by all!
I remember many times riding horses at the saddle club and seeing the cows at the dairy with Dahl and Brett and our families. To this day, the smell of manure brings those memories back!!
Be strong today.

Susie, Brett and I would like to express our deep appreciation to all of you who have made contact with us and shared in our grief over the past week. My dad was tough, stubborn and too young to go just yet. He also had the biggest heart of anyone I know.
I love you so much daddy and will miss you every day...

The Pueblo Shrine Club Breakfasts will never be the same without Dahl reminding me of "THE" arrest at the pawn shop. We will miss him!! Out of town on Saturday, sorry to miss the service! Our love to the family.
