Dale was born on October 26, 1936 in Lakin, Kansas to Willard and Florence (Tuttle) Bandy.
Dale Bandy and Sarah Gerten were married on June 21, 1958 in Ordway, Colorado.
Dale spent his early years in Kansas, moving to Salida and then Ordway, where he graduated from high school. After graduation, Dale moved to Climax, working in a mine. After marrying, he honorably served in the United States Airforce. In 1959, he and Sarah were stationed in Hawaii, where their first two daughters were born. Upon discharge from the Airforce, the family moved to Pueblo, Colorado, where he worked first as an auto mechanic and then for Colorado Fuel and Iron as a crane operator in the mill until his retirement. The family moved to Fowler, Colorado in 1969 where they welcomed two more children, and where they resided until their deaths.
Dale was a dedicated family man. He treasured his wife, Sarah and was an active participant in the lives of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Dale and Sarah loved to travel, visiting most of the fifty states, camp in the mountains and visit family. One of the highlights of his life was touring Israel in the 70’s.
Dale made the important decision to accept Christ as Savior in his high school years. This decision guided the reminder of his life. He was an active witness at his workplace and had the nickname of Preacher. He was a dedicated student of the Bible, in particular prophesy and the end times. Dale served as deacon, taught Sunday School and a leader for Awana Clubs in his local church. Music was always an important part of his life, leading the singing and singing solos as well as duets with both Sarah and his children.
Dale is survived by 4 children: Susan (Bill) Graham, Marietta, Georgia; Robin Bandy, Phoenix, Arizona; Jill (Pete) Gomez, Pueblo, Colorado; Scott (Ginger) Bandy, Matheson, Colorado; a sister, Jane (Noel) Decalb, Lincoln, Nebraska; 12 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
Dale was proceeded in death by his beloved Sarah, his parents and two brothers: Joe Bandy and Jim Bandy.
