I will miss you forever, Denise.  I wish that I had one more moment with you.  

I am in shock and heartbroken.  Denise and I have been friends for over 15 years through our careers at Bechtel and beyond.  Between her work and life wherever Bechtel sent her and my own obligations, we developed a typical pattern of touching base every two or three months.  After our normal Christmas virtual visit, we talked about spring and a possible visit to Maine.  I was so happy for her when she bought her "nest" in Maine.  As always, we would slide into our conversations like they were never paused.  We shared our successes, our failures, our hopes, and our fears.   I was so lucky to have her in my life and I hope that I brought some light into her life too.  I will miss her dearly.  Denise, I trust you have found peace.  My thoughts are with her father and sister during this heartbreaking time. 

So sad to hear of Denise's passing. Although I did not know Denise as well as some on this page, I can clearly see that she touched the lives of so many people, particularly during her time in Gladstone.
 
Denise, you were my go-to person for navigating the wonderful world of Bechtel. Your colleagues, who quickly became your friends, respected your honesty, integrity and true heart. For myself, I always came to you when I wanted to cut through the B.S. and understand the true issue. You helped me more than you ever realised and I am grateful to have known you.

Like everyone, I too have been gutted in hearing of Denise’s passing. Denise had a presence in a room that you could not help but notice and admire. I loved listening to her stories, her opinion on a wide range of worldly matters or just how matter of fact she was about the tough things that may have needed to be said. The thing I’ll miss the most is how a glimmer would start in her eye that would then lift the corner of her mouth with a cheeky part-smile as she said something that was loaded with intelligence, wit or a razor sharp response to something happening around her.  We will miss and never forget you Denise. Love and condolences to the family you loved dearly. 

They say friends are family we choose.  Being chosen by you was the greatest thing that could of happened when we were in Gladstone, Australia together. Your spirit, your laugh, your support, our Breakfast Club, and just our day to day conversations I will be forever grateful for.  I am better for knowing you and better for having met you.  Love and miss you to the moon and back.  Drive safe in your red jeep D.   Condolences to Tomas and Adrienne, we had never met however we knew you through D.....  

Shocked and saddened to hear the news. Denise was an amazing, extremely clever individual with a heart of gold and so generous to all. It was a pleasure working with her in Australia and we continued to keep in touch throughout the years afterwards. I will miss our chats. Fly high beautiful lady. My sincere condolences to Denise's family. 

Denise was the best gift of all - an unexpected gift.  Although she played the role of ‘Daria’ very well, she had a heart of gold and was the consummate team player, forever helping and her input never missed the mark.  She was a fantastic teacher and an even better friend who was wise beyond her years.  Denise, you may not have known it and it is too late to tell or demonstrate it to you but you will be sorely missed by the many whose lives you touched or had simply come into contact with you.  Your cooking was legendary, your wit more so and I will dearly miss our catch ups, your valued opinion and your counsel.  I am so thankful for your friendship which was the best unexpected gift and I look forward to when we can meet again.  Thomas and Adrienne, my deepest condolences for your loss as she was a beautiful soul.

Not only where you my boss but it turned into so much more, I gained a friend for life. I miss our breakfast club where we would just chatter about anything and everything. When you smiled, it lit up the room, you had a beautiful smile. You didn’t always show people your love but it showed through your food and the joy you got for cooking for others. I’ll never forget the feast you put on for my birthday and that amazing carrot cake and lasagne recipes you did. The time you helped me cook up Christmas treats for my friends.  You may be gone but I can assure you, you’ll never be forgotten. Till we meet again, Rest In Peace my friend xx
My thoughts and prayers goes to Thomas and Adrienne, although we never met I felt I knew you through Denise talking about back home.

Denise, you taught me so much during our time working together in Gladstone.
I will never forget your smile and that twinkle in your eye when you were being a smart arse, to someone you really didn't like during our meetings.
I loved spending time and listening about your time in the Bay Area.
I won't forget your excitement when you bought your house. (I think you were more excited about your new front doors you bought for it though)
You had a big heart and meant alot to me. Rest in Peace D, I will never forget you

She was always ready to lend a helping hand whether it was guidance, suggestions, or just getting something done (generally with a little sarcasm added in). She will be greatly missed.  

Our thoughts, prayers and love to her dad, Tom, and her sister, Adrienne. 
We will remember Denise as a wonderful and beautiful person, and a great helper to her parents. May she rest in peace.
