Dolores A. Bula lived a beautiful and heartfelt, caring life. Dolores provided comfort and compassion with her loving and giving nature, while asking little in return. Her husband, John, adored her and together they taught their children John, Joy, Judie, and Jacquelyn, integrity, loyalty, and compassion to pursue life with passion and confidence.
Dolores touched many lives with her beautiful smile and dedication to family and friends. To know Dolores was to be loved by her. She chose simple over flashy, while carrying on a dignified presence. Dolores was impeccable with her appearance and dress, especially with weekly trips to the hair salon. Dolores’ pie baking was a special treat enjoyed by many relatives and friends, especially during the holidays. How we will miss them!
Dolores is survived by a son John Bula (Tampa, FL) and three daughters Joy Bula (Erie, PA), Judie Geary (New Hartford, NY), Jacquelyn and her husband David Allen (Pueblo, CO), sister Suzanne Brown (Painesville, Ohio) ten grandchildren, one great grandchild, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Assundo and Alvera Bartone, Dolores is preceded in death by her husband John and sister Donna Dobrogosz. Ceremony will be at the Gate of Heaven in Erie, Pennsylvania at a future date. In memory of Dolores, we ask you to offer a mass in her name.
If Roses Grow in Heaven by Dolores M. Garcia
If roses grow in heaven,
Lord please pick a bunch for me,
Place them in my mother’s arms
And tell her they’re from me.
Tell her I love her and miss her,
And when she turns to smile,
Place a kiss upon her cheek
And hold her for awhile.
Because remembering her is easy
I do it every day,
But there’s an ache within my heart
That will never go away
