Dolores Eileen Kite

Dolores “Eileen” Kite, 88, passed away June 18, 2019. Born to Floyd Dyer and Dolores Maphet on November 7, 1930, in Knowles, Oklahoma. Predeceased by her husband Melvin Leroy Kite in 1986 and sister Charlene Jo Scheller. She is survived by her children Terry (Kathy) Kite, Wendy (Steve) Longacre, Jeff (Tracy) Kite, Tammy Kite, and extended family member Jane (Patterson) Urenda. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; brother Victor Dyer and sister Marian Long; Sister-in-law Lenora Isenbart and Brother-in-law Alva Kite; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. “Granny” was a wonderful homemaker, excellent seamstress and loving mother and grandmother. She taught accordion for many years and retired after 18 years as manager of the Funputter Park, and continued to care for the flower beds. A Memorial Service is scheduled for 10:00 AM Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at TG McCarthy funeral home. Internment will be held at a later date in Gate, Oklahoma.
