Reba and family,
I have so many great memories of being at your house with your family.  Your dad was always flexible with whatever crazy plans we made.  Well... mostly.  I was sad to hear about his passing.  My deepest sympathy to you, your mom, sister and brother.

My memory of Mr. Garnett was from School District 60, back in the early 70's. I was very young and just started working there.  There was a snow storm with much snow.
I was parked along the curb of the Dist 60 adm bldg, then on Orman Ave.
Of course, with all the snow during the day, I was stuck and couldn't get away from the curb.  Mr. Garnett came by and pushed my car away from the curb so I could get going.
Needless to say, as he pushed the car from behind and I gunned it, the snow and slosh got all over his clothes.   I felt very badly and offered to pay for cleaning the clothes.  
He refused.  It's been many years since that happened, but I have never forgotten what a nice man he was.

I was very sorry to learn of Mr. Garnett's passing.  My memory of Mr. Garnett is of a gentle, kind man who was very compassionate and smiling.

Charlotte,
I am so sorry to hear about Don. I know things have be difficult for you these past few years, but he is at peace now. Hold on to your good memories. They will bring you peace.

On behalf of my family, thank you to you all for your kind words of support. My dad was a kind and gentle man who touched the lives of so many people!  Every day is sad, our hearts are heavy, but we know we will be with him again, and we know he is with his family, and his Lord.  He showed us all how to love one another and to love ourselves.

Charlotte:  My sincere sympathy.  Don was my mentor at Corwin.  He was an excellent counselor and professional educator.  I had not known of his illness; we lose touch with many of those who at one time were so important to us.  My prayers go out to you.   Mary Jo Rodriguez, Arizona

Charlotte and Family,
I had the pleasure of knowing Don early on in my career.  He was so supportive and helpful to me as a friend and as a professional colleague.  I learned so much from Don.  He was always so positive and truly did want to do what was best for the kids.  As a true team member, he always contributed but gave his wholehearted support for the final decision.  My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.  He was a great man who will be missed by all who knew him--by me in particular!  God Bless you.

My sincere sympathy to Charlotte and her family. Don was a great guy! I was fortunate to work with him a few years at East High School. He was very well liked and highly respected by our entire staff and student body.
