My sorrow for the loss of Donnie. My prayers go out to all his family. Donnie was a wonderful person. He's in God's hands.

Where do I start. I know he is up above us right now wanting us to know that he loves all of us. There are so many stories that I could tell. Donnie was the middle child, they say the oldest and middle child get along the best. With saying that I would have to agree with what they said. Donnie and I always got along. Maybe that is why he was my favorite sibling. Eddie you will always be the baby brother so you’re not left out!!!!
I’m gonna miss his calls in the evenings when he would take Doner for a walk. He would usually call and check in then. See how each others day went and last time he called to tell me they killed a rattle snake out on the farm. I responded with “Good, but don’t tell Ary she will get mad at you lol”
Donnie was always a push over when it came to the kids. I think he was a little more strict with the kids that lived in the house then he was with the nieces and nephews and grandkids. 
I am so glad that Donnie and Heather came out and watched Ary at gymkhana.
Donnie had a heart of gold. I don’t think a day will go by that I won’t think of him. He is now up in heaven with some great people. They say it takes a village to get things done and I agree, but Donnie was the middle of that village. 



Not to sure if you knew or not, but Donnie was an organ donor. We do know his kidneys were donated. I found this poem and it is so fitting:

Give my kidneys to one who depends on a machine to exist from week to week. Take my bones, every muscle, every fiber and nerve in my body and find a way to make a crippled child walk. If you must bury something, let it be my faults, my weaknesses, and all prejudice against my fellow man. Give my sins to the devil.

Ok know for a lighter side…. Who here has watched the movie little rascals? Well that was one of his favorite movies. When the boys were singing I’ve got a dollar. So everytime you wave a dollar bill think of Donnie.

My heart lay broken,my soul cries out!
I look for consolement, I ,no We have suffered great loss. My friend has left this glory being called unto Heaven to reside with his brother ,Casper . 
I have had many friends . None would 
  I count before Donnie . An upright man
friendly ,kind, full of life ,quick witted secure in who he is . I will always remember my friend ,he gifted hope and thoughtfulness to me . 
    To Heather may your days be filled with joy.For you loved a great and wonderful man. 
For the friends of Donnie, grieve but for day. then take up the journey our friend has led the way . Pointed to the Glory.
Strengthen our resolve to finish our own journey.  In our loved ones memory
we go forward towards the Glory.

To my favorite brother!!! Donnie you will be missed. Your niece and I love you so so so much!!! You are with big brother now and Darcie, baby brother and I have it down here to watch your kiddo’s.  Just know I will will always think of you and when I hear the song “I got a dollar” from little Rascals I will always think of you.   Till we meet again!! Love ya

When i was younger donnie took my door off the hinges cuz i wouldnt stop slamming it everytime me & my mom would argue and ever since then its been a ride just kiddin but he never hesitated to have my back whether i needed my car fixed , someone to watch niylah, or picking me up when the cops pulled me over and i had to wear his big ass rain boots cuz i didnt have no shoes on 😭 love you don don we might not have seen eye to eye all the time but most the time we did ill take some shots of moonshine when i can rip 🙏🏼💔

Donnie I'm so sorry your life was cut so short, no time to see your children grow. You gave me the best grandson I could ever ask for I wish you peace,  God Bless you.  Tammy Addington

My Brother,

I grew up with Donnie.  We moved into the county at around the exact same time.  
Donnie was in kindergarten and I was in 2nd grade.  I tripped over Eddie as a infant toddler the first day we met.  Casper wanted to kick my ass, he was in 4th grade.  But Donnie stood up for me and we built a relationship that will last till the end of time.

When he moved into Pueblo, around 4th grade for Donnie we moved into Pueblo 2 months later.  And destiny put us blocks away from each other.  

He doesn't have a quit button!  He pushes on no matter what is in front of him.

He has the heart of a giant.  If you needed him,  he would stop what he was doing and would help or be there through the thick.  

I didn't have a big close family, but Donnie was always there to make me a part of his family for the holidays.  Heart of gold!  Always thinking about the people he loved.

I will never forget you my Brother.  I know I will be good when I need you, because I will hear your voice and see your face anytime I think of you.  And I know you will be here to help.

One week ago, we lost an extraordinary man. Donnie was a bright, positive force—not only for our Colorado team but for the entire Grasshopper Farms family. He carried an energy that lit up every space he entered, and the farm was no exception. Many mornings, he would share a picture of the sunrise—a reminder of beauty, hope, and the promise of a new day.

From the moment I met Donnie, I knew he was someone special. He lived with gratitude for all he had, was deeply knowledgeable about our work, and understood the grit it takes to succeed in this industry. He was a man of values and principles, challenging those around him to give nothing less than their very best—both in work ethic and in teamwork.

Donnie was an amazing husband, father, friend, and colleague. When you spoke with him, the world seemed to stop—because in that moment, you had his complete and undivided attention. His presence made you feel valued. His words made you feel understood.

He knew our path was never going to be easy. He knew this industry is unpredictable, that success takes not a couple of seasons, but years of determination. Yet he was all in—committed to pushing forward, no matter how hard the road, because he believed in what we’re building and in the people building it.

Donnie was a community man to his core. He believed in doing things together—on the farm, at events, and in life. That’s how he worked. That’s how he lived. And that’s how he’d want us to move forward.

We will miss him deeply. But I believe Donnie is still with us—in the way he inspired us, in the lessons he taught us, and in the energy he poured into our shared mission. His legacy is more than words—it is the proof of a man who helped build something meant to last.

We will honor him. We will mourn him. We will celebrate him. And we will succeed—always with him.
