
Dorman Freeark, 94, passed away November 5, 2016. Born July 20, 1922 the son of the late Clinton and Arla (Dorman) Freeark. He is survived by wife, Jacqueline Louise Freeark, Pueblo, Colorado; children, Marie Smith, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Michael Freeark, Chandler, Arizona, Christopher Freeark, Aurora, Colorado, Barry Arveschoug, Pueblo, Colorado, Mark Walker, Fleming, Colorado, Michael Walker, Tacoma, Washington, Robert Walker, Nancy Montague, David Arveschoug and Nani Sapeda all from the Denver area; step-children, James Marbach and Diane Marbach; 14 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Dorman held three degrees, Mechanical Engineering Bachelor and Master Degree from Stevens Institute of Technology plus a Doctorate of Philosophy in engineering from Cincinnati University. He retired from the United States Army with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel after years of active and reserve duty. He received a WW II Victory Medal. He was also an engineer at General Electric then later became a Professor of Engineering at Pennsylvania State University. In Colorado he headed the engineering program at the University of Southern Colorado. He co-authored a text book related to engineering. Dorman enjoyed square dancing in his free time. In lieu of flowers please bring a card with your best memories of Dorman. Funeral service, 2pm, Friday, November 11, 2016 at George McCarthy Historic Chapel. Interment at Roselawn Cemetery.
