Dorothy Phyllis Sirko, 93, of Pueblo, CO, went home to be with her heavenly father on April 16, 2019 while at Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center Nursing Home in La Junta, CO. She was born on May 29, 1925 in Johnstown, PA to John and Myrtle Ressler, and later moved to Colorado after her parents relocated here. She is survived by her loving daughters Judy (Robert) Reed, Janis (John) Mendenhall, Janette (Ross) Bender and Janelle (Kevin) Kottenstette; Grandchildren James Vandiver, Ashley Trivett, John (Melissa) Mendenhall, Jerad (Kaylynn) Mendenhall, Jacob Mendenhall, Ryan (Krista) Bender, Kylan (Lisa) Kottenstette, Matt (Skyler) Kottenstette; Great-grandchildren Hunter, Halle, Nova Mendenhall; Johnny, Henry, Everly & Blake Mendenhall; Sawyer Bender and Karalee & Jace Kottenstette. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband of 51 years Steve Sirko; parents, Brothers Jack and Blair Ressler, and sisters Margaret Stibich and Ruth Diana. She married Steve Sirko in 1943 and worked various jobs in her younger years before having children. She worked as a meat wrapper for Safeway for 18 years before retiring. She loved serving her Lord, reading her Bible, and spending time with her children and grandchildren, and was an active member of the 1st Church of the Nazarene in Pueblo. A memorial service will be held May 4, 2019 at 10am at the 1st Church of the Nazarene on 84 Stanford Ave., Pueblo, CO, with internment at Imperial Memorial Gardens to follow.
