Edna Mary Lopez, 77, of Pueblo, went to be with the Lord on February 9, 2024. She was born in Amalia, NM on July 14, 1946. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Joe Fred Lopez, her son, Frederick J. Lopez; her parents, Jose Damian and Eduardita Barela; her siblings, Mary “LaLa” Cordova, Joe Barela, Max “Tony” Barela. She is survived by her daughter, Robin (Mike) Young; her siblings, Dennis Barela, Rosinda Chavez, Carlos (Anna) Barela, Eddie (Pat) Barela; special nephew, Ron (Kathy) Barela; her grandchildren, Lauren (Dave Catuccio) Lopez, Kyle Lopez, Aldo Egas and Kaylee (Joe Szynskie) Young; her great-grandchildren, Kiana Lopez and Remi Catuccio; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was a loving and beautiful woman with an extraordinary personality. When she walked into a room, you knew she was there. She brought laughter and smiles to all those around her. She was the life of the party. She worked as a CNA and homemaker. She loved to cook. She welcomed you into her home and made sure you left with a belly full of food. Her faith and family meant everything to her. She spent her life instilling the importance of faith in God and love of family. She was always there for her family to help out in any way she could. She has touched many lives. She was an amazing mom, sister, aunt, cousin, friend and a loving and caring Nana. My sweet and precious mom will be missed by many. Rosary, 1:30 p.m., Mass service, 2:00 p.m., February 29, 2024, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 3130 Morris Ave, followed by graveside service at Imperial Memorial Gardens, 5450 Highway 78 West.
