He is survived by his loving wife, Natalia Cornwell; his children, Eric (Carrie) Cornwell, Cheri (Rick) Montoya, Erin (Angela) Cornwell, and Evan (Audrianna) Cornwell; his grandchildren, Robbie (Tamara), Trevor (Jason), Cheyenne (Brendon), Trey (Jade), Taylor (Isaiah), Gianna (Mikey), Sandis and Tinsley; and his great-grandchildren Malia, Landon, Holden, Liam, Luca, Paisley, and Aria. He is also survived by his brother, Richard Cornwell; his sister, Diana (Earl) Donnley; and his godson, Robert M. Steele as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Wilma Cornwell; his sister, Nancy Lambert; and his brother Steven Cornwell.
Ed was a dedicated advocate for individuals with developmental disabilities. He worked as a Case Manager at Pueblo Diversified Industries and later retired after 30 yrs as a Social Worker with the Colorado State Hospital.
He was an avid fisherman, loved camping, photography, playing his guitar and cherished spending time with his beloved dogs, Puggy and Malchik.
The funeral service will be held at Imperial Memorial Gardens on Monday May 11, 2026. A viewing will take place at 9:00 a.m., services at 10:00 a.m., followed by a reception at the Pueblo Christian Center, 1605 S Pueblo Blvd
