

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beautiful Mother and Grandmother, Elizabeth Brehm, on May 1, 2025, one month short of her 94th birthday, She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John F. Brehm in 2001 and her cherished daughter, Cynthia in 1987.
Born in Denver on June 3, 1931, Elizabeth embarked on a westward journey in the early 1950s, making her home in California. It was in the vibrant Bay Area that she met the love of her life, John. Their life together began in Oakland while John proudly served in the United States Coast Guard.
Elizabeth was the epitome of a dedicated military wife. Her unwavering support and resilience shone brightly as she raised their three amazing daughters, often single-handedly during John's deployments. Her inner strength was truly extraordinary, a testament to her character and devotion to her family.
After John's retirement in the mid-1960s, they settled in Pueblo, Colorado, where they built many happy memories together. Elizabeth's faith was a guiding force throughout her life. She was a devoted Catholic and an active member of the church community. She cherished trips to Cripple Creek, enjoyed dining out, and above all, treasured spending quality time with her family. Her adventurous spirit led her on travels to numerous exciting destinations overseas and within the country.
Elizabeth is survived by her two cherished daughters, Carla Jahn (Chuck) and Darla Braden (Darrell) her grandchildren, Reahanna (Chad) Jessica (Joey), Jamie, Chris, and Caitlin and her great-grandchildren, Gabby (Colby) , Nolan, Violet, Jonathon, Reyden, Pierce, Syris and Liam; and her great-great-grandchild, Cayden. She also leaves behind her beloved sisters, Helen Manzanares and Loretta Manzanares, as well as many loving nieces and nephews. Elizabeth's legacy of strength, resilience, adventurous spirit, deep faith, and unwavering love for her family will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
Rosary will be at 1:30 PM, Friday, May 9th. A memorial service to celebrate Elizabeth's life will be held at 2 PM. Both held at St Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church. Graveside procession to follow. A Reception will be held at Imperial Funeral Home following the services. A viewing will take place Thursday May 8th at Imperial Funeral Home from 3-7pm. The family would also like to thank cardiologist Dr. George Gibson and Sangre de Cristo Hospice for their care and kindness during her illness.
