Ellen M. Sutton

Ellen M. Sutton, 99, passed away October 8, 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband, James B. Sutton; parents, Andrew and Myrtle Carson; siblings, Ray Carson, Ruth Ruegg, Clara Hielman, James "Bud" Carson, Marie Tiffany. She is survived by her children, Jim C. Sutton of Parker, CO, and Mike (Bobbi) Sutton of Pueblo; grandchildren, Mark (Lisa) Sutton, Paula (Carl) Otholt, Darla (Brian) Miller, Bret (Brandie) Sutton, Bryan (Nina) Sutton, Kindra (Tony) Geonetta; sister, Leona (Bill) Hrutky of Pueblo; 14 great-grandchildren, Jillian and Keegan Sutton, Monica and Hayley Otholt, Megan, Emilie and Bryson Miller, Drennan, Emiree and Irie Sutton, MacKenzie Blazing, Shelby and Shylo Sutton, Vinny Geonetta; sisters-in-law, Viola Sutton and Wilda Wilson; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Ellen loved family gatherings, entertaining, and especially, cousin parties. She enjoyed trips to Las Vegas and Cripple Creek, and she loved to play Bridge. Ellen belonged to Southern Colorado Telephone Pioneers. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Karen Phelps for the loving care she gave to Ellen. Ellen was a member of the Shrine of St. Therese. She was a very devoted Catholic, and her faith was very important in her life. Viewing will be 2-5 p.m., Thursday, at T.G. McCarthy Funeral Home. Rosary will be 7 p.m., Thursday evening; and Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m., Friday, October 15, 2010, both to be held at the Shrine of St. Therese Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Imperial Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers and food memorial contributions may be made in Ellen's memory to Sangre de Cristo Hospice through the funeral home office.
