Emil M. Mravich passed away on July 30, 2021 at the age of 86, in his hometown of Pueblo, Colorado. Emil is survived by his wife of 65 years, Maryann (Penza) Mravich, children Carol (Phil) Mandarich, Michael (Tracy) Mravich, and grandchildren Paul (Jennifer) Mandarich, Ryan (Joni) Mandarich, and Jennifer Mravich, as well as 5 great-grandchildren and numerous other family and friends. Preceded in death by parents John and Mildred Mravich, and brothers John, Nick, and George Mravich.
Emil worked at CF&I Steel for many years before retiring to start Emil’s Wholesale Used Cars. Throughout his life, Emil’s two passions were cars and family. He was a dedicated father and husband, active in his church and community, and above all, he loved interacting with people. Emil was a generous, loving soul who never met a stranger. His kind heart, warm smile, and joyful personality lit up a room and lifted everyone around him.
Emil remembered the name of everyone he met. He loved to take the whole family out for a meal and when they weren’t together, he was always speaking of them and showing pictures of his great grandchildren.
Funeral service is at 10am Wednesday August 11 at Our Lady of the Meadow’s Church. Interment to follow at Roselawn Cemetery. All relatives of Maryann and Emil can be accommodated. In lieu of flowers and food, please make donations to Sangre de Cristo Hospice.
