Erle E. Breece, 97, born and raised in Wetmore, CO, passed away July 29, 2021. He is survived by his children Kathy (Rick) Kochis, Patty Breece, Ed (Diane) Breece, Dan (Linda) Breece Sr.; 16 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Elma Schiffer and numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends. Erle was preceded in death by his wife Agnes; their son David; and his brothers and sisters. He served in the US Navy in WWII and was a plank owner on the USS Porterfield. He then “stubbed his toe on every rock in Colorado” while working as a surveyor for the USGS before going to work for the CF&I, retiring on August 30, 1983. Erle enjoyed being outdoors, hunting and fishing and spending time at the family cabin. He had a wonderful sense of humor until the end. Visitation, Thursday 5-7pm at Imperial Funeral Home, funeral service Friday 10am Fellowship of the Rockies, interment to follow at Imperial Memorial Gardens. “See ya later, alligator”
