Our Mama passed to her new life in the early morning of April 30th. We wanted family, friends and students to know; you gave meaning to her life with joy and purpose! Evangeline Salazar, was an educator, historian, author, business owner and community leader. Mom treasured her time with students, and she loved hearing from them later in life. Thank you for staying in contact.

Mom’s smile and sense of humor will be missed by her three remaining children, Albert, Audrey and Barbara, their spouses, 7 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and her beloved dog, Jack. (Our brother, Ron, preceded her in death).

In loving memory of your favorite English teacher, we ask you don’t “dangle your participles”, know when to use “they’re and their” correctly, properly use apostrophes, and remember how to diagram a sentence! In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your local animal shelter in her name. This would have made her happiest.

A mass for Mom will be Tuesday, May 6th at 1 p.m., at Our Lady of the Meadows Catholic Church, 23 Starling Drive, Pueblo, CO.

A gathering of will be held after mass at her home in Pueblo; we would love the visit. A private family interment will be at a later date in San Luis, CO
