

Florence was born, Florence Irene Seger, on March 22, 1944, to Archie and Anita (Pat) Seger in Superior, Wyoming.
She married Charles E. Nesmith Sr., on December 24th, 1961 and divorced in 1965. Florence married Donald D. Scheid on November 6, 1971.
She attended Arvada High School. Florence’s many jobs included hair “bender”, truck driver, bar owner and manager, manager of the Legion Hall in Holyoke, Colorado, chief cook and bottle washer for many a hay crew, wife and mother and stepmother to eight children.
During her lifetime, Florence lived in Superior, Wyoming, Denver, Golden, Amherst, Beulah, and Pueblo, Colorado.
Gardening, dancing, and country-western music were among her favorite interest and activities. Her love and devotion to her family was known by everyone.
Florence knew no strangers and will be remembered by her contagious laughter and wonderful, and at times, colorful sense of humor.
Survivors include her son, Charles E. Nesmith Jr., Greeley, Colorado, daughters Anita (Kenny) Houston, Cotopaxi, Colorado, and Wanda LaRue of Denver, Colorado. Stepchildren, Terry (Brenda) Scheid, Rye, Colorado, Scott (Nancy) Scheid, Montrose, Colorado, Bob (Lorinda) Scheid of Pueblo, Colorado. Grandchildren Jacob (Kim) Nesmith of Fort Lupton, Colorado, Jessica (Nick) Wood, Broomfield, Colorado, Jackie (Tanner) Marshall, Gorham, New Hampshire, Russell Houston, Canon City, Colorado, Skyler (Bliss) Houston, Cotopaxi, Colorado, Desiree Houston, Cotopaxi, Colorado. Step-grandchildren, Casey Thompson, Courtney Vance, Donald Scheid, Cody Scheid, Dusty Scheid, James Scheid, Heidi Scheid, Joey Scheid, Riley Scheid, Ashley Scheid, Colton Scheid, and multiple great grandchildren. Sister-in-law Elizabeth Seger, step-mother, Cecelia Seger, and numerous nieces and nephews. Special friend and caretaker Ales Vigil.
Florence was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Scheid, parents Archie and Anita Seger, sister Margaret Seger, sister Linda Conner, brother Ernest (Butch) Seger, son Wayne Nesmith, and step-daughter Sharon Thompson.
Services are to be held, Friday June 19, 2020 at Imperial Funeral Home, Pueblo, Colorado at 2:00 pm, reception to follow. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, services will be limited to immediate family only.
