Frances Lucero

Frances P. Lucero, 93, of Pueblo went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, January 25, 2011. Frances was born to Severo and Sostenita Lopez in Tecolote, New Mexico on April 2, 1917. She worked for many years at the New Mexico State Hospital. On February 11, 1934 Frances married the love of her life, Antonio O. Lucero, who preceded her in death on February 14, 2001. Frances is survived by her beloved children, David (Gloria) Lucero of Pueblo, Mary Baca and Benito Gonzales of Santa Fe, New Mexico, Tony R. (Rose) Lucero of Pueblo, Elvira (John) Martinez of Las Vegas, New Mexico, Dora (Bonney) Montoya of Pueblo, Joe Moises (Carmen ) Lucero of Pueblo, Joe Leandro Lucero of Pueblo, Nick (Jennifer) Lucero of Pueblo, Ben (Valerie) Lucero of Pueblo, Linda (Mario) Padilla of Colorado Springs; sister, Carolina Madrid of Denver, Colorado; and the pride and joy of her life, 25 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren and 21 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 3:00- 7:00pm on Monday, January 31, 2011 with recitation of the rosary at 7:00 pm at Adrian Comer Garden Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Tuesday, February 1, 2011, at St. Leander Parrish. Frances will be laid to rest with her beloved Antonio at Imperial Memorial Gardens.
