We were family friends of the Hollingsworth's while they were still in Woodland Park. Shortly after the family moved to Fountain, we went to visit. Chili was served for lunch. Francis told my Dad he just had to try Bobbie's latest peppers recipe. Of course they were so hot, tears were running down my Dad's face. So many good memories. It has been wonderful ( and educational ) listening to all the stories about our father's growing up together through the years.  It is truly a sad realization to know that new ones will not be made.  Your loss is felt farther than anyone can imagine.

Billy Jo....I am so sorry to hear about your Dad. He and your Mom were always 2 of my favorite people! I know how close you and Tashina were with them. We were friends since 1963! My heart goes out to all of you!

What a great guy!!  Seems like I have known him & Bobbie forever - probably 30 years.  He was the quiet one while Bobbie was around but always so sweet.  Usually he had just gotten off work & seems like he & Tash were always doin something with the horses when I came by.  I love the things he made for me like huge steel flowers for my yard, a very talented guy!  I will miss him & I miss Bobbie too.  My hope is that Billie, Troy & Wade know that we all loved & cherished them both & that you find peace with Gods arms wrapped around you.  He was SUCH a great guy!!

I remember having his milk cow at our place and raising calves on her for years because he couldn't milk her, she kicked too hard!  He taught Glenn how to rope with his first horse.  My most lasting memory was when I went with Ira and Georgia Belle to Trinidad too watch him rope.  May God bring all of you peace and comfort.

Francis H was my nephew. I lived in Woodland Park when I was in the fifth grade with another sister Lucille Ellis. Occasionally I stayed with my sister Georgia Belle.  On one of those occasions Francis tried to teach me how to milk a cow. Needless to say I never learned. I am sad to say that I had not seen Francis for 50 years, until about 2 years ago.  I had the privilege to see him and meet his wife Bobbie when I went to see his mother in the nursing home with another sister. It was such a fun time I shall always remember. Francis was a great true friend to our family. He was a best friend to my late brother Robert Wimmer. They spent many hours together roping. Robert always thought Francis "hung the moon if Francis said or did it then it was OK with him". Francis could do no wrong in his eyes. We will all miss our friend.  The Wimmer family

Today I'm remembering Francis and the Hollingsworth family from our common history in Teller County and Woodland Park.  My heart takes a blow every time one of the old timers go.  Prayers to all the family!  I'll miss looking for you when we would drive by your house in Canon.

A very good man and friend. Francis gave our kids a goat a very long time ago and they named the goat after him, Francis was a funny goat, just like the man that gave him to the kids. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of you. He will be missed by those who knew and loved him.

I will always remember Francis laughing! He always had a fun story and a cowboy hat on! I remember when he added on to the house in Woodland Park, and my dad, Van would go help on the weekend, I would pull Billie Jo and Troy in the wagon to the little store after Francis gave us a dollar to spend! My Dad, Vade, always called his nephew Francis, "Frog".  I remember my cousin "Frog" as being SO much fun! He would bring his camper to our place at Rush, CO, and go antelope hunting with my Dad and brothers.  I'd get to play with Troy and Billie for a few days while the men went hunting.  I remember Francis and Dad in that camper telling stories, laughing, and carrying on; they had SO much fun!!  Rest in peace, my cousin, and I know you and your Uncle Vade are laughing like I remember you..... prayers are with you, Troy, Billie, and Wade. Your cousin, Tami.
