Frank Rocco Bartolo Sr., 85, passed away Sunday December 30, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rocco and Maria Bartolo; sisters, Alvira Mauro and Jenny Bartolo; brothers-in-law, Harry Mosco and Charles Mauro; sister-in-law, Connie Corsentino, and daughter, Margaret Bartolo. Frank is survived by his wife of 60 years, Linda Bartolo; children, Frank (Diana) Bartolo, Jodene (Doug) Kissler, Michael (Kyle) Bartolo, Anthony (Sandy) Bartolo, and David (Joelen) Bartolo; 10 grandchildren, Jenilyn Bartolo, Mark (Katy) Kissler, Stephen Kissler, Andy Bartolo, Samantha Bartolo, James Bartolo, Dante Bartolo, Lauren Bartolo, Nicole Bartolo, and Kristi Bartolo. Frank is also survived by his sister, Helen Mosco; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends and relatives here and in Italy. Frank was born in the small mining community of Lime, Colorado on August 15, 1927. In 1930, the family moved to the farm and current home on the St. Charles Mesa. In addition to farming and ranching throughout the years, Frank was employed with the Pueblo Rural Fire Department for four years and was Director of Transportation for School District 70 for more than 30 years. Frank was a member of numerous councils and service groups. He loved to hunt, fish, and spend time with all of his grandchildren. Special thanks to Dr. Chris Vialpando, Dr. Travis Archuleta, the staff of Centura Home Health, the nurses and CNAs at Parkview Hospital, the AIM program of the Sangre de Cristo Hospice, and the staff of Life Care Center for their incredible care and support of Frank. Visitation, 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Rosary 6 p.m. Wednesday St Joseph’s Church, Funeral Mass, 10 a.m. Thursday, St. Joseph's Church in Blende. Interment, Roselawn Cemetery.
