

F. Edward Wagner, was born on February 8, 1926 in Peshtigo, Wisconsin. Ed passed away peacefully at home on December 4, 2017. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Beth. He is survived by his two daughters Sandra Dugan of Cibolo, Texas and Patricia Riedel of Albuquerque, New Mexico; sister Carol Kucerick; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. His family moved to Colorado when Ed was three and lived in the Northlands of Fowler and Boone. Ed was a WWII veteran where he served his country proudly in the United States Army. He was a farmer, steelworker and rural mail carrier for RT 1 Boone and RT 3 Pueblo. He was the owner of Boone Grocery and Hardware. He enjoyed traveling, having crisscrossed all the states west of the Mississippi and all the Southern states. He was active in the community serving as mayor, a council man, a volunteer fireman and life member of Boone V.F.W Post 8898. The family would like to give thanks to the Sangre de Cristo Hospice staff for the excellent care they provided to Ed. The family asks in lieu of flowers to make donations to Sangre de Cristo Hospice Care. A visitation will be held on Friday December 8, from 1-3pm with a rendering of military honors at the Adrian Comer Garden Chapel. A reception will be held at Boone V.F.W Hall on Saturday the 9th, from 1-4 pm.
