He attended school until the eighth grade before moving to Pueblo to work to help his parents. At the age of 18 he went into the army serving for two years in the Korean War. Upon returning to Pueblo he started working for Ross until he retired. He loved going camping and fishing with the family. When he was feeling lucky, he would love to go gambling.
He was always there for family and friends and had a heart of gold.
He was preceded in death by his wife Maclovia Sandoval; parents Eli and Genoveva Sandoval; sister Adelia Sandoval; and granddaughter Samantha Lee Gravatt.
He is survived by his daughters Esther Sandoval and Rebecca Trujillo; stepdaughter Annie Sisneros Cochran; Gilda Sisneros Leyba; stepsons Aurelio Sisneros and Gilroy Sisneros; 3 grandchildren Amber Aguilar Dara, John Gravatt and Dante Rosales; 7 great-grandchildren; 9 step grandchildren; 22 step great-grandchildren; 18 step great-great-grandchildren. He’s also survived by his sister Pauline Tafoya.
Visitation, 3 to 6 p.m. Wednesday January 12 with funeral service 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 13, 2022, both at Imperial Funeral Home. Interment, Imperial Memorial Gardens.
