George Kraus, 73, passed away May 6, 2018. Born February 9, 1945 in Fort Madison, IA to Jake and Wyoma Kraus, both preceded him in death along with his sister Valerie Wills (Kraus). He is survived by his three children: Dan (Sheila) Kraus, Kyndra (Eric) Carpenter and Chad Kraus; grandchildren, Cody, Chloe, Paige, Luke and Cambria; siblings, Ken (Gayle) Kraus, Donna Ziegler, Peg Powell and nieces and nephews George served in the United States Navy and was a Vietnam Veteran. George enjoyed riding his Harley, going to Sturgis, spending time with family and friends and watching his grandchildren play sports. Services will be held Friday, May 18 at 11:00 am, Imperial Funeral Home and Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or a local non-profit organization that supports Veterans.
