

Grant Howell Drummond, born November 15, 1951, in Leadville, Colorado, passed away peacefully with family by his side, March 26, 2025, in Pueblo, Colorado. A devoted parent, grandparent, great-grandparent, and community member, Grant’s life was marked by deep commitment to family, faith, and joyful pursuits.
Grant graduated from Central High School in 1970, celebrating many Bell Game Victories and State Championships in Football and Basketball. He then went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree from Brigham Young University. His drive for education and athleticism laid the foundation for a life of thoughtful engagement and service.
Grant found strength and purpose in his faith and the community. His spiritual life was a guiding force that shaped his values and relationships throughout the years. Grant always took pride in attending Sunday service with his children.
Family was at the heart of everything Grant did. He is survived by ten children—Rachael, Grant, Gwendolyn, Elisabeth, Seth, Ruth, Celeste, Joel, Annamoriah, and Enoch—who carry forward his legacy of love and dedication. Grant also leaves behind 44 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Also survived by his brother, Ted, and sister, Deborah. He was predeceased by his mother, Ruth Drummond, Father, Ted Drummond, sister Twyla, brother Dale, and son Elias.
Grant cherished time spent with family and especially loved being a grandparent. Taking grandchildren out for ice cream became a treasured memory that brought joy to both generations. His involvement extended beyond the home as well—Grant was an enthusiastic supporter of his children's athletic endeavors and often served as a head referee at swimming competitions. He also performed in The Nutcracker Ballet alongside his children. Grant especially cherished family movie nights, making laundry baskets of popcorn and laying out blankets on the living room floor.
Grant had a passion for music and dance. He delighted in country western and ballroom dancing alike and was often found enjoying live music wherever it played. These moments reflected his vibrant spirit and love for shared experiences.
Grant Howell Drummond’s presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to those he touched throughout his remarkable life.
