

Hattie Mae Watson, was born May 28, 1938 in Tulsa, OK and passed away Oct. 3, 2011 at the family home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Hattie Dodd; sister, Minnie McClinton of Bakersfield, CA; husband, Steve D. Watson, Sr.; and daughters, Sherle Watson and Jeannie Mae Reliford. Survived by children: Alice L. (Arnold) Thomas, Tuscaloosa, AL; Janet Y. Watson, Harkers Heights, TX; Stevetta Crump, Pueblo; Stene Denetta (Dante) Whittaker, Taladega, AL; Delores J. Buckner, Pueblo; Tommie O. (John) Hardy, Colorado Springs; Steve Dean Watson, Jr., Pueblo; Eldoris A. Watson, Killeen, TX; Carl D. Watson, Terre Haute, IN; and Edward E. Watson, Dallas, TX. Also survived by two adopted grandchildren, Valshima and Vanika White. In all, she had 18 grandchildren; sister, Helen Dorsey, Pueblo; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends Rose Jefferson, Linda, and Bob Jones. Hattie was a member of the NAACP and the Southwest Church of Christ. She also was a long-time Avon representative. Visitation 4 – 7 p.m. Friday at Imperial Funeral Home. Funeral Service 1p.m. Saturday, Southwest Church of Christ, with interment at Mt. View Cemetery. Donations may be made to Southwest Church of Christ.
