Helen Rita Martinez, 81, of age passed away at Sangre de Cristo Hospice April 24, 2019. Survived by her sister, Pauline (Eddie) Longoria; and brother, Art (Pat) Diaz. Preceded in death by her daughter, Diane Martinez. Survived by her children, Misty and grandchild, Justin Martinez; Ron (Annette) Martinez and their children, Deanna and Lorenzo Martinez; Eric Trujillo, Tenesha (Paul Jr) Bueno, Benjamin Naranjo, Daniel (Leah) Martinez; Tim (Lori) Martinez of Seattle, Wash., and their children, Kayla (Michael) Bearer, Jordan (Ashley) Martinez also of Seattle; Loretta (Thomas, deceased) Martinez Kaelin and their children, Cecily and Lawrence Kaelin; several great and great-great-grandchildren. Survived by her favorite aunt, Romona Martinez, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins. Preceded by father, Joaquin Diaz; mother, Elsie Fontanez; granddaughter, Rhonda Martinez; and sister Louise (Celistino) Maldonado; and numerous aunts and uncles. Helen was born Nov. 13, 1937, in Pueblo, resided in Denver for 38 years. Viewing will be 4 to 7 p.m., Monday April 29, followed by a rosary at 7 p.m. Funeral and Mass at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 30, both services at Imperial Funeral Home. Reception to follow.
