Huberta Anne Jackson departed this life to be with Jesus on February 17, 2020. Born Huberta A. Evans, February 7, 1934, the only child of Fern and Charles Evans in Pueblo, CO. A graduate of Central High School in 1952. She went on to attend Southern Colorado Junior College. Huberta was employed at CF&I as a cord sorter and tabulator. On a blind date, Huberta met the love of her life James Robert (Bob) Jackson and they were married on May 28, 1955 and were happy together for 57 years until Bob’s passing in 2012. Upon retirement they spent their winters in Comfort, Texas and became permanent residents there in the early 90’s. Huberta served as Worthy Matron OES #7 in 1973 and 1974. After the passing of her husband, Huberta returned to Pueblo where she enjoyed reading and watching movies. Huberta is survived by her children, Robin (Jim) Sinkhorn, Chuck (Claudia Pyolik) Jackson, and Polly (John) Gashler of Amarillo, TX; grandchildren, Amber (Matt) Law and Stephanie (Devin) Prater; great grandchildren, Berit and Maddox Law.
