Ida Mae Hayes, 82, of Pueblo, CO, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on July 1, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Hayes; parents, Miles and Dorothy Cortner; sisters, Virginia Joy (infant) and Marlene Baldwin; and sister-in-law, Roberta Cortner. Ida Mae is survived by her children, James (Rosemary) Hayes and Cathy (Edwin) Smith; grandchildren, Jamie (Eric) Ludwig and Jessica (Stephen Munoz) Smith; great-grandchildren, Darien Castillo and Trinity Ludwig; brother, Robert Cortner; brother-in-law, Dale Baldwin; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was a proud graduate of Central High School. She enjoyed traveling to Cripple Creek. She retired from Minnequa Works Credit Union. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Arkansas Valley. She was also involved in the Southeastern Colorado Genealogical Society. Her family would like to thank the staff at Brookdale Assisted Living and Fresenius Dialysis.
