

James E. Belcher Sr., 75, of Pueblo passed away peacefully on September 6th, 2017. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Martha “Marty” Belcher; children Toni Stiffler (Belcher), James (Deborah) Belcher Jr., John (Erica) Belcher, and Jason Belcher all of Pueblo; seven grandchildren Melyssa (Justin), Anjel, Joseph “Joey” (Heather), Brandilea (Jesse), Maverick, Xander and Makenzy all of Pueblo; six great grandchildren Gary, Bryce, Haylee, Lexie, Lilie and Aria Faye all of Pueblo. James was born in Austin Texas, proudly served his country and retired from the US Army from 1961- 1973. He then worked at the Pueblo Army Depot from 1982- 1995 and then the Dept. of Homeland Security from 1997-2005. He was a member of many of organizations including BPOE #90, American Legion Post 203, the NRA, DAV Chapter 2, the Masons, G. I. Form and The Retired Enlisted Assoc. (TREA) #20. James is preceded in death by his biological father Alton Hardin; mother Marvel E. Harrell; adopted father John Belcher; and brother Ed Belcher. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 12th from 3-7pm in the TG MCCarthy Funeral Home with a Funeral Service at TG MCCarthy’s Chapel on Wednesday, September 13th at 2:00pm with a full military honors burial to follow at Roselawn Cemetery.
