James Joseph McGill, 100 years old, passed away March 2, 2022 in Pueblo. He was the widower of Anna Mae Robinson McGill. They shared 63 years together. He was born in Pueblo, the son of James William McGill and Claudine Fink. He attended Central High School through 10th grade. He worked at CF&I Steel Mill and Denver Rio Grande Railroad first as an apprentice then a Machinist for 45 years. He was a member of The Shrine of St. Therese and a Life Member of BPOE #90 Elks USA. He enjoyed family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He and his wife built the house he lived in for 71 years. James was very mechanically inclined, a gardener, NASCAR and NHRA Motorsports enthusiast, and enjoyed many family road trips. He will be remembered for his excellent sense of humor, storytelling, a prankster to his grandchildren, devotion to family, kindness and generosity to all. He was a true gentleman. James is preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Anna Mae, 3 sisters and a brother.
James is survived by children: James (Becky) McGill, Richard McGill, Cheryl (Dennis deceased) Caporicci, Doug (Jackie) McGill; his grandchildren: Brian (Rosalina) McGill, Brandon (Lihui Carissa) McGill, Aaron (Jeni) McGill, Deanna (Eric) McCoy, Nicholas (Jayde) Caporicci, Julie Burgan, 9 Great Grandchildren, Sisters-in-law, Evie and Linda, many special friends, nieces and nephews. Memorial donations/in lieu of flowers, may be made to The Shrine of St. Therese in his name. Memorial Mass Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at 10am at The Shrine of St Therese.
