Janell (Nell) Shubert, 94, passed away September 4, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband James P. Shubert, her parents, three sisters, one brother, two nephews, and one niece. She is survived by her son Alan (Annette) Shubert of Pueblo; nieces Donna (Carl) Rosignal, Teresa (Mike) Kelly, Nancy (Rick) Laughton, Anita Gillespie, Kathy (Rick) Mashburn, and Sue Julsen; nephew David (Becky) Gillespie and special friends Mil Peterson and family; two step granddaughters Jessica Solomon and Stacy Maes; 7 great grandchildren Deon, Dominic, Darian, Damien Solomon, Marisa, Marcus, and Morgan Maes; two Great great grandchildren Ariah and Harper. Born in Ringgold, Texas, Janell White (a.k.a. baby Nell by siblings and friends) was raised on a farm until grade school when she moved to Sunset, Texas. Her family moved to Bowie, Texas when she was in high school. She then went to work at the state hospital in Wichita Falls, Texas where she met and married James Paul Shubert. In April 1948, along with some of their friends, James and Janell moved to Pueblo were they worked at the Colorado State hospital and made a good life for themselves and had a son, Alan. She had many friends through work and activities and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. She loved her church and her church family very much. She retired from JCPenney in 1989 and loved to travel and loved being with family and friends. A viewing will be held Monday September 13 from 3-7pm at Imperial Funeral Home; funeral service on Tuesday September 14, 2021 at 10am at Imperial Funeral Home with interment to follow at Imperial Memorial Gardens Cemetery
