

Jean Cisneros, 89, opened her eyes one last time to look at her devoted husband of 72 years and peacefully, surrounded by family, took God’s hand to eternity on January 4, 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents, Luis and Telesfora Casias; her sister, Jennie (Eutiquio) Bravo; son-in-law, Franklin Robinson; and other brothers and sisters. She is survived by her husband, Joe L. Cisneros; children, Marianne Cisneros Robinson, Dorothy Cisneros, Daniel Cisneros, Arlene Cisneros Murray and Carl Cisneros. She delighted in her grandchildren, Lisa Guzman, Kristen Robinson, Brandy Cisneros, Nicholas Robinson, Daniel P. Murray, Sarah Jean Robinson, Daniel Cisneros II, Andrew Murray, Aaron Cisneros and Alex Murray. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Jean was born ahead of her time; she was a very independent woman who valued education. She was very artistic and enjoyed needlework, sewing and oil painting. She was a stylish and fashionable dresser with a passion for shoes. She was an avid fisherman, loved animals, loved to travel and enjoyed camping. Jean was an active member of St. Leander Catholic Church since the 1940’s, and served as President of the Legion of Mary. She will be greatly missed by loving family and friends and will be remembered for her devotion to family, strong faith and her compassionate and nurturing demeanor. Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 8, 2013, at T.G. McCarthy Funeral Home. Funeral Mass, 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 9, 2013, at St. Leander Catholic Church.
