Jeannette “Jay Cheno” Montez, 73, of Boone passed away on September 28, 2017. She is preceded in death by her parents Guadalupe and Cora and sister Lil. Jay is survived by her children Denise (Dave) Montez-Kachman, Elizabeth Montez-Dasler and Vinnie Montez-Dasler; her partner in life Daniel Dasler; seven siblings Sue Baca, Ronald “Sonny” Montez, Diana Montez, Valarie Montez, Guadalupe “Wally” Montez, Dwayne Montez and Wayne Montez; three grandchildren Mark(Ashley), Jessica and Nicole; and two great grandchildren Austin and Chloe. A rosary will be held at 9:30 on October 2, 2017 with Mass to follow at 10:00am at the Sacred Heart Church in Avondale.
