

John “Mike” Gonzales, 86, passed away November 18, 2012. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Aurora Gonzales; brothers, Joe, Fred, Bernie; and granddaughter, Lea Gonzales. Mike is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Barbara; children, Robert (Gloria), Gary (Jeanne) Gonzales; grandchildren, Michelle (Chris) Hines, Annie Gonzales, Michael Gonzales, Ariann (Levi) Lovato, Natalie Gonzales, Stephanie (Nathan) Cromer; great – grandchildren, John Paul, Robert Lee, Alyssia, Jordan, and Liliana; siblings, Rosie Garcia, Victoria (Louis) Garcia, Charles, Laycher Gonzales, Carol (Del) Perea, Paul (Alice) Gonzales and numerous other relatives; also survived by his beloved pet, “Peetee”. He was a disabled Veteran, having served in the Navy during WWII. He was a member of the Eagles #145, American Legion Post, DAV Chapter #39, and a member of the Cement Masons Union for 32 years. Mike and his son, Gary, owned and operated Gonzales Concrete, starting in 1980. Mike retired from the business after many years. He loved to garden and enjoyed going over the mountain to Cripple Creek. Donations may be offered to St. Leander Catholic Church in memory of Mike.
