John Leonard Petric

John L. Petric, 88, a lifetime Puebloan, was born on August 3, 1929, and passed away peacefully on June 15, 2018. Preceded in death by his parents, John and Barbara; first wife, JoAnn; daughter, Carol Sue; son, John Michael; and sister, Olga Papish. Survived by wife, Shirley; son, Tom; step-daughter, Cathy Colarelli; step-sons, Steve (Sara) Wills, David (Linda) Wills; and nephew, Raymond (Cathy) Papish; grandchildren, Ryan Petric, Amy (Jason) Wilcox and Robbie Biggs; step-grandchildren, Cody Colarelli, Taylor (Kevin Maglia) Colarelli, Heather (Joe) Cyr, Jessica (Bruce) Reese and Katy Wills; great-grandchildren, Madi, Ava and Ashley Wilcox; step-great-grandchildren, Ty and Maggie Cyr, Peyton Reese, and soon to be born twin girls, Ainslee and Zoe Maglia. John worked for 45 years as both a general contractor and a switchman for the Rio Grande Railroad. He served in the Navy from 1948 to 1955. He loved football, traveling, music, dancing and was a lifelong member of the Preseren Glee Club. Viewing, 4 to 6 p.m., Thursday, June 21, 2018, followed by the Rosary at 6 p.m. Funeral Mass, 10 a.m. Friday, June 22, 2018, all to be held at St. Mary Catholic Church. Burial at Roselawn Cemetery.
