On January 8, 2022, heaven welcomed an amazing husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. His family described him as loving, caring, fun, a role model, and hero. He is survived by his loving wife Susie and daughter Dana and preceded in death by his son John John. He was a Vietnam Veteran and in the Army Reserves. He dedicated his life to law enforcement. He enjoyed going to Cripple Creek, going on long rides in the mountains, and spending time with his family and friends. He loved doing yard work, even at age 79 he was outside working in his yard. He always had the greenest lawn on the block. Johnny had 5 grandchildren: Dion (Felicia), Danaya (Clint), Geraldine (James), Josh (Shontaih), Amanda (Austin). He had 10 great grandchildren: Niko (Celeste), Dakota, Jason, Jaelynn, Dangery, Josh Jr., Laynni, James Jr., Joshua 3rd, and Joshua 4th. He is preceded in death by his mother and father Lugar and Candelaria Rodriguez. He is also preceded in death by his brothers Lawrence and Alex, and his sisters, Dora and Thresa. He is survived by his brothers Lugar and Joe, and sisters Jenny, Priscilla, and Linda. He is also survived by his best buddy, Earl (his Chihuahua), who never left his side. Cremation has taken place. Graveside services will take place on January 28th, 2022, at 2 o’clock pm at Imperial Memorial Gardens Cemetery with military honors given by the Pueblo Ritual Team.
