Jon: I remember your brilliance at poker, your sense of humor, and joy living life on on Miller Street! I hope you are in a wonderful place now.

I'm so deeply saddened to hear of your passing. As I write this, I remember our many conversations sitting in my office. Whether discussing politics, religion, elliotwave vs Gann, or countless other topics, we always circled back around to how long we had worked together and how fun the floor was prior to electronic trading. I've missed you for a very long time already... Rest in Peace my friend

Jon - I will miss your exuberance and honesty.  Whether you understood it at the time, you are a lasting influence on my life.  You taught me that the excitement of life is found more in the "searching" than in the "finding" - the "journey" than the "destination".
I hope that you have found a place set for you at the table with both Millie and Florence in the kitchen prepping pasta and gravey.

A compassionate warm and simple soul with honesty and kindness, he can make you smile with tears ,he was diligent about everything he do never gives up until things is done the way it should be. For Jon it was you cannot discover new oceans unless you have the courage to lose sight of the shore.The death of Jon leaves a sadness no one can heal, but the memory of just knowing him will always be remembered,rest in peace my old timer friend.

Jon, you were one of the most favorite characters that I encountered during my decades at the CME and CBT. You will be remembered fondly, and missed by many.

To the family of Jon Holzapfel. I worked with Jon for many years at First Options GSEC in Chicago.  I am greatly saddened to hear of his death, and will always remember Jon as he was in life, a very intelligent and hard working man who had so much character that he enriched the lives of others around him.  Many, many good memories.  I hope that he has found a good solid market in the afterlife to keep him happy. God bless.

Jon, my friend, I will miss you so much. You have always been someone who I can talk too. Someone who sincerely appreciated my friendship. I loved having breakfast with you when you would come back to Chicago,  loved our long chats on the phone. Know that you were and will always be loved and missed. Milo says you should be envied because you're finally home and those who remain continue to suffer. So until we meet again for breakfast,  I pray you are the happiest you have ever been, showered by the glory of God and I will continue to miss you. Be at peace Jon. Love Carmen
