Her early years were filled with community and spirit, famously earning her the title of Spartan Homecoming Queen at Salida High School.
Throughout her long and fulfilling life, Kathleen approached every endeavor with heart. Her work ethic and passion for serving others led to her being honored as Colorado State Employee of the Year, alongside receiving the Miss Albee Avon Award. Kathleen was an active and lively soul. She found immense joy in dancing, was an accomplished bowler with countless awards to her name, and remained deeply engaged in her community through senior walking groups and volunteer work.
Above all, Kathleen’s greatest calling and pride was her family. As a mother of eight, she guided her home with limitless patience, love, and devotion.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Garland and Anna Mae Sinclair; her brothers Buddy and Gary, and sister Marylyn; her husbands, John W. Martin and Lloyd Baughman; and her beloved daughter, Marylyn High.
Kathleen’s story carries on through her surviving children—daughters Carolyn, Anna, Kathy, and Theresa, and sons JD, Garland, and David—as well as her vast family of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom carry a piece of her kindness in their hearts.
A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Kathleen’s life will be offered on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at 9:50 AM at St. Pius X Church, located at 3130 Morris Ave, Pueblo, Colorado.
