Loretta Marie (Formico) Danti, 100, born March 4, 1919, passed away April 15, 2019. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Danti. They were married for over 60 years. Loretta was also preceded in death by her younger siblings, Dorothy (Bill) Boyett, Angelo (Louise) Formico and Marie (Len) Shern; and parents, Carl and Louise Formico.
Loretta is survived by her children, Robert (Marie) Danti of Boulder, Janice (Dave) Chenoweth of Pueblo West and Kenneth (Dianne) Danti of Pueblo. She is survived by grandchildren, Addy Danti, Chad (Lisa) Chenoweth, Brent (Kimberly) Chenoweth, Jason Danti, Robin Danti; and great-grandchildren, Matt Chenoweth, Lindsey Chenoweth, Jameson Luna and Emma Luna. In addition, Loretta is survived by many cherished nieces and nephews.
Loretta was a lifetime resident of Pueblo, graduating from Central High School in 1937. She graduated Midwest Business College where she met her husband, Leo. They were married during World War II, while he was a soldier in the Army Air Force. Loretta worked as a deputy clerk for Pueblo County commissioners. She retired to look after her family to see them prosper and grow. Family and church were her priorities in life.
Loretta had been a member of the Shrine of St. Therese, where she was involved in many activities including singing with her two sisters in the Choir. She was a member of Nocturnal Adoration Society, Order of Marth and Ladies Fidelity Lodge #58, where she was officer for many years.
In her last years, she lived at Primrose Retirement Community, enjoying many activities and the companionship of fellow residents, including her sister, Marie. We are very grateful for the care given to her by the Primrose staff. In her last year Loretta was attended by the staff at Sangre de Cristo Hospice at Primrose. Hospice staff care made her last moments peaceful and comfortable.
Loretta's viewing will begin at 9 a.m. at the Shrine of St Therese with a Mass following at 10 a.m., Friday, April 26, 2019. Loretta will be laid to rest at Roselawn Cemetery.
