

Lovina Stuckie, 93, was born Dec. 16, 1918, in Campo, CO; and passed away in Pueblo, CO, Aug. 11, 2012. She is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Edward Stuckie. Lovina married Kenneth at the Pueblo County Court House by Justice Bates. They became instant celebrities because they were the 600th couple married by him, they were together for 55 years until his passing in 1992. Father, James A. Mitchell and Mother, Rachel A. Sturdevant Mitchell: Son-in-Law, Jerry Pluskett; Grandson, Harry D. Robbe; Brothers, Ernest, Paul, and Edgar; and sister-in-law, Geneva.
Survived by her four daughters, Dorothy (Dave) Robbe, Carole Pluskett, and Terry (Rick) Bowman, all of Pueblo, and Sandra (Ray) Cantrell of Boise, ID.
Grandma Stuckie, Grammy, Grams, many names for many reasons. She had 19 grandchildren: Debi, Gene, Harry (deceased), Jennifer. Rose, Erin, Sheree, Jay, Sandi, Danny. Christina, Aaron, Patrick, Lisa. Tamra, Michael, Jason, Jonathan and Matthew.
From these grandchildren she had 38 great-grandchildren: Dean, Jana, Jimmy, Jessica, Christina, Melissa, Mary, Jacob, and Cassie. Allison, Joshua, Patricia, Rebecca, Katie, Joey, Maggie, Andy, Alex, Stevie, KJ, Zachary, Cameron. Melissa, Jamison, Tessa, Dylan, Liam, Jacob; Mason, Emily, Taylor, Colton, Johnny, Joey, Caeleigh, Kaeden, Raegan, Ethan.
16 great-great-grandchildren: Kent, Elizabeth, Brody, Donnie, Mike, Jacob; Carrie, Alyssa, Mariah, Dustin, Owen, Chloe, Anna, Dylan, Lukas, Conner. For a total of 73 to this date and counting. "All Because Two People Loved Each Other"
She also leaves behind numerous nieces,and her sweet little dog Zoe, who is still looking for her.
Lovina was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She was a homemaker all her life, and was passionate about quilting, and tried her hardest to make a hand made, embroidered and appliqued quilt for each new member of her family.
She also loved NASCAR, and could tell you every driver and the number on the car, she new the stats, and never missed a race if she had a choice, she liked many drivers and that changed over the years-but she consistently disliked Jeff Gordon. It often played loudly in stereo if you ever stopped by.
She also enjoyed doing genealogy and loved to tell you she was related to Laura Ingalls Wilder. Lovina and Ken worked in the genealogy library at their church for a number of years.
She loved animals, and was usually covered with a minimum of four dogs at a time.
She was a great daughter, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great- grandmother, and great-great Grandmother that anyone could ever want to love them and them love back. She was a good friend to all she met.
Funeral Service, 10 a.m., Friday, Aug. 17, 2012, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 4720 Surfwood Ln., with interment at Imperial Memorial Gardens. Donations in lieu of food and flowers may be made to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the Pueblo Animal Shelter, or the American Cancer Society, all through the funeral home.
