Willie built a life marked by disciplined service and a commitment to learning. He worked as a civil engineer at the Air Force Academy and earned a master’s degree in IT—an achievement that reflected both diligence and an enduring desire to grow. He retired from the United States Air Force with the rank of Colonel, a milestone that spoke to years of devoted leadership and responsibility.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Willie found joy in the simple and sustaining pleasures of life. He enjoyed golf and traveling, and he carried with him an easy appreciation for the moments that invite connection and perspective. He loved to laugh at life, and that steady humor—paired with a strength many leaned upon—made him a reassuring presence in both ordinary days and difficult seasons.
Willie’s legacy is also one of care: a sincere desire to mentor anyone who sought his counsel, and a fierce love for his family. Above all, he held a deep love for his wife, Pam, and that devotion remained at the center of his life.
Willie was preceded in death by his father, Illiff; his mother, Berdina; and other aunts and uncles. He is survived by his wife, Pamela T. Willadsen; his sister, Jan Heaton; his brother, Ward Willadsen; his grandbaby, Aby Viers; and Aby’s father, Marshal Viers.
Services will take place on September 18, 2026 at 9:30 a.m. at Imperial Funeral Home.
