Margaret (Midge) Kochevar departed this world on Monday, February 19, 2024. She was born in San Francisco on May 15, 1926. Midge had 97 full years on this earth and has now gone on to be with her husband, Edward J. Kochevar, who passed away in 1999. They were married for 55 years when Ed passed. She is preceded in death by brothers Ken Kidd (Pat) and Archie Kidd (Dorothy) and a great-grandson. She is survived by her children Ed Kochevar (Betty), Judy Staples and Karen Sorrick (Clay) and grandchildren Ron Kochevar (Kelly), Lisa Green (Bob), Brian Staples, Brett Staples (Jodi), Paul Sorrick (Michelle), Heather Legris (Michael), 12 Great-Grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Midge and Ed enjoyed square dancing, fishing and playing cards. They spent many happy days at their home in Gunnison. Holidays were always a gathering of family and friends.
Midge worked at Bakers Shoe Store and as a baker at Keating Middle School. In later years she volunteered many hours at the Shrine of St Teresa, St Mary Corwin Hospital and Parkview Hospital.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Margaret's memory may be made to Alzheimer Association.
Cremation has taken place and a family interment will take place at Imperial Gardens Cemetery.
