Margaret Mary Murillo

Margaret Murillo, 91, long-time Pueblo resident went home to be with her heavenly family June 6, 2016. Born August 6, 1924 in Hasting, CO. Margaret is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Richard, in 1994. She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Richard, Lucy Garcia (Frank), Paul (Katiann), and Debbie Pacheco; grandchildren Sherri Chavez, Michelle McIver, Barbara Terrazas, Ginger Johnson, Cindy Murillo, Christie Garcia, Jeffrey Murillo, Raymond Murillo, and Trisha Murillo; 12 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren; 11 siblings; and numerous nieces and nephews. Margaret loved cooking, sewing, gardening, reading and traveling. She and her husband were foster parents for over 21 years for many children but she especially loved to care for babies. She was a member of St Joseph Catholic Church and enjoyed cooking for their fall festivals. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at University Park Care for providing her a home for the past 8 years and a special thanks to Virginia (RN), Jane (Receptionist), Amy (Recreation Assistant), Betty (Beautician) and Cindy (Executive Director) for your care and loving support. Our thanks to Sangre de Cristo Hospice for her final days care. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to University Park Care Center or Hospice. Viewing Friday, June 10, 4-6pm. Rosary with Funeral Service 10 am, Saturday, June 11, 2016. Both at Imperial Funeral Home, 5450 Hwy 78 W, Pueblo, CO. Interment to follow at Roselawn Cemetery.
